Several organizations offer scholarships to which LGBT activists can apply. GLSEN also accepts applicants for annual awards for excellence in activism.
Scholarships
| Rosenberg Fund Grant for Activist Youth The Rosenberg Fund for Children provides for the educational and emotional needs of children of targeted progressive activists, and youth who are targeted activists themselves. In most instances, professionals and institutions directly receive the grants to provide services at no or reduced cost to beneficiaries. Activists can be eligible for up to $3,000 a year for things such as counseling and tuition. |
| LEAGUE at AT&T Foundation to Award College Scholarships Established in 1996, the LEAGUE Foundation is a scholarship fund, created by and affiliated with LEAGUE at AT&T. Each year, the LEAGUE Foundation awards academic scholarships to assist self-identified Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender youth in attending college. These scholarships are available only to graduating U.S. high school seniors. |
